New Patients

To help The Bondi Dentists provide appropriate care, new patients are asked to complete a medical and dental health questionnaire at or before their first visit. This information is kept confidential and assists with diagnosis, treatment planning and patient safety.

A comprehensive dental examination, including diagnostic X-rays if required, will be performed at your initial visit. Your dentist will take the time to understand your needs, discuss any concerns and explain any recommended treatment.

APPOINTMENT CHANGES

Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Late notification or failure to attend an appointment may incur a fee.

PAYMENT

Payment is expected on the day of your appointment. Multi-stage treatments may require a deposit at the first visit and settlement of the account by the final appointment.

We accept cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and EFTPOS.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE & HICAPS

We welcome patients with all major private health funds and offer HICAPS at the practice, allowing eligible claims to be processed on the day of treatment.

Rebates and out-of-pocket costs depend on your individual health fund, policy and level of cover. The Bondi Dentists is not a preferred provider for any particular health fund and does not offer no-gap services.

MEDICARE CHILD DENTAL BENEFITS SCHEDULE

The Bondi Dentists accepts eligible children under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Parents or guardians pay the practice’s fees in full and claim any eligible benefit directly from Medicare.

Our team can check a child’s eligibility and remaining CDBS balance if requested. Please contact us before the appointment if you would like us to check eligibility or explain the payment and claiming process.

INFECTION CONTROL

Your safety, protection, care and comfort are priorities at The Bondi Dentists. Our team follows detailed cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation and infection-control procedures throughout the practice.

Our infection-control procedures reflect current requirements, including AS/NZS 5369:2023 – Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health related facilities, together with relevant professional guidance.
